Cairn in Sør-Trøndelag
This site consists of a huge bronze age burial cairn located on a forest covered rocky hill overlooking the Trondheimsfjord to the north. The cairn is located on the highest point of the hill and the view would have been great if it was not for the trees.
The cairn doesnt have a close description and dimensions listed in Kulturminnesøk but when I use the map and the scale it looks to be around or just over 30-35 metres in diameter and at least 4-5 metres in height. It has an impressive size.
The cairn has a crater on top and some stones seems to have fallen or beeing thrown down the hillside. Some large trees are growing directly on top of it and most of the stones are moss covered but still most of the stones are easily visible. The cairn is believed to be dating back to younger bronze age.
