Marker Stone in Thuringia
The original Weiber Wetzstein (the hags whetstone) was destroyed in the last days of the second world war (in 1945). The stone remains were used to rebuild the buildings around the site. In 1953/54 a new stone was erected, which is still standing today at this place. The original probable prehistoric standing stone was around 1.8m tall. It was square shaped with a round tip.
