LaDragonne visited on 26th May 2018 - their rating: Cond: 5 Amb: 5 Access: 4 Le roc de la Fougasse, accessible par un petit sentier, en sous-bois, dans une belle hêtraie, est un énorme bloc de grès sur lequel un disque parfait de 1,10m de diamètre a été taillé. Ressemblant à un gâteau local = fougasse = fouace en occitan.
Il est sur une pente orientée au nord, non loin de 2 sources (celle de l'Agréou est aménagée avec un petit abreuvoir de métal). Une rigole délimite le disque et une petite cupule est creusée en son centre.
Il s'agit sans nul doute d'une représentation solaire associée à un culte local: féminité? La pierre elle-même aurait pu servir d'autel pour des sacrifices d'animaux.
