Element protected: Dolmen Cornevache, including a strip of land of around 2.50 m (cadastre H 132). Private property. Order by order of 31 March 1980 (Record Mérimée: PA00098602) Construction period: Neolithic
A dolmen is a prehistoric megalithic building consists of one or more large roof slabs (tables) put on vertical stones that serve as feet (orthostats). Everything is originally covered, maintained and protected by a pile of stones and earth mounds named. The dolmens are generally interpreted as funerary monuments that housed collective graves."
