Ancient Trackway in Kent

Stretch of a prehistoric trackway later used by Pilgrims traveling to Canterbury.
At Cuxton a ferry would take Pilgrims across the River Medway to the route on the opposite side.
Some pilgrims would then make a detour to visit the Cathedral at Rochester.
The North Downs way follows the Pilgrims way along most of it's route. Some stretches are now modern roads.

From TQ783588 to TQ845549 is a tarmac road. It continues from TQ845549 as a footpath and part of the North Downs Way.
