La Pierre à Vinaigre is a puddingstone block 1.8m high near lieu-dit- Chalenton in the community of Saché, Departement of Indre-et-Loire

According to the some, this menhir is accompanied by several other blocks placed in single file along a path called Le Chemin des Fées and it could be an alignment.

This name refers to the unusual Touraine local practice which consisted in making a person smell the rock to check if it smelled of vinegar, then give a blow on the back of the neck to make him kiss the stone hard.

La Pierre à Vinaigre is a Menhir in the community of Saché (same department) and not Thilouze, If you would have a look at the map., you'd see that the "lieu-dit- Chalenton belongs to saché...
