Now buried puddingstone in Monkhams Field close to the Broxbourne Road on the B194. Site No. 45 on the Puddingstone Trail.

    Thanks Nick, it certainly wasn't a wasted trip as you added to the information known about this site. It is also fine to add photos of locations close to where sites should be / were in the past - even if there is no longer anything to see now. The landscape can be interesting and instructive.

    Many many of our 'green' sites do have things to see there, or indeed sites we don't list yet but may be recorded elsewhere. We're constantly getting in photos of sites that are new to us so please don't give up.

    Unfortunately, the info above fails to mention that the stone was buried in this field before 1949, so you would never have found it, sorry.
