Rock Cut Tombs in Veracruz. Quiahuiztlan was an important political centre of the Totonacs (allies of Hernan Cortes during his conquest of Mexico), however for a long time it was remaining under influence of Teotihuacan. It is best known due to famous group of tombs discovered on plateau of the hill overlooking the coast.

Cementerio central (central cemetery) includes over 30 tombs, the other ones are located in Cementerio oriente (Eastern cemetery) and Cementerio norte (Northern cemetery).

The small tombs carved in shape of houses are in good condition, the site itself is beautifully located over the coast and under the stunning rock.
