This is the second largest mound on the site and excavations showed it was built in stages, beginning in approximately 800 AD, and having height added periodically with layers of soil and clay. The mound was enlarged over a period of 150 years. It is presumed that a building (or a succession of them) may have stood on the mound, but evidence is unclear.
