Ancient Maya Settlement in Campeche
A Maya city with over 2,000 years of occupation from the Middle Preclassic (600-300 BCE) to the Protohistoric (about 1557 CE).
Possibly the place where Cortés executed the last Aztec emperor, Cuauhtémoc.
One means of access is by boat from Candelaria.
