Curraduff Stone Circle
Curraduff Stone Circle submitted by frogcottage42 : It may take a little imagination but these stones are in the correct positions and if stood upright would form four parts of a typical five stone circle. A probable outlier is partially buried 3m to the North and there are several candidates for a fifth upright (including worryingly all the smashed up bits!) (Vote or comment on this photo)
Axial stone circle in Cork. The coordinates given for this circle are in the head of a valley beneath Hungry Hill. There is a mass rock recorded in this position and no circle is obvious. On close inspection there are what look like the remains of a five stone circle and associated outlier, the fallen stones are consistent with a deliberate attempt to lay the circle flat. This has been noted at other sites.

Pagan monuments are often destroyed at sites used for Catholic services during penal times and this may be the case here. In any case this is a remote spot occupied by a close community who have no knowledge of any monument either being intact or destroyed in this location.
