A man-shaped effigy mound in a park 4 miles (6km) NE of the town of Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin. The figure is about 64 metres by 16 metres and part of this mound has been destroyed where the nearby road has cut through the effigy's legs.

There are now no other man-shaped mounds left in Wisconsin. Early explorers documented several similar effigy mounds around the state, but the others have since been destroyed. One was near LaValle, also in Sauk County.

Website: Sauk County Historical Society.

Information on this and many other mounds is at the Wisconsin Mounds website.

The photo of the drawing of the man mound is not the correct man mound. The one in the photo was sadly destroyed many years ago.
