Artificial Mound in United States

From Gregory L. Little, Ed.D. on X (Twitter): "Mound Cemetery Mound located in Amory, Mississippi adjacent to a golf course. It is probably dated to as early as 100 AD and traces of a surrounding village area have been found." Reprinted with permission of author.

From State Historical marker signage: "Mound Cemetery. Mound built circa 100 AD for the burial of high-status members of an unknown Indian tribal group. Cemetery established during the mid-1800s by the Nabers Family and other early settlers of Monroe County."
