Candelabra
Candelabra submitted by SolarMegalith : Perfectly preserved pre-Colombian hill figure on Paracas peninsula (photo taken on April 2008). site in Peru (Vote or comment on this photo)
Candelabra (or Candelabra de los Andes) on Paracas peninsula is one of the most famous and mysterious geoglyphs in South America. The Paracas culture pottery discovered near the figure date to 200 BC, which may or may not be the date of the construction of the figure.

According to local tradition the geoglyph was connected with cult of Viracocha. The hill figure is made of 0,5 m deep lines supported with stones and is visible from several miles, also from the sea.
