Ancient Village or Settlement in Ohio County, Kentucky.
A shell midden with evidence of settlement, including hearths, structure foundations, the introduction of ceramics, tool manufacture and food processing, but more notable as a cemetery site spanning hundreds of years. Indian Knoll was created over time by successive shellfish harvesting, and some settlement. But over many generations it became a successive burial site for peoples of Archaic cultures (3000–2000 B.C.), with very limited use into Woodland and Mississippian eras.

Lying the banks of the Green River, Indiana Knoll was one of many shell mounds known to European settlers in Kentucky. The mounds were often used as building sites in flood prone areas. Indian Knoll covered more than two acres. It had farm buildings up into the 1930s and the edges of the mound were a source of shell to be ground for poultry feed.

Excavations in the 20th century revealed burials spanning very different methods and with a variety of grave goods (notable bannerstones) and ceremonial contexts (including dog burials.)

Indian Knoll is important for the analysis of the grave goods accompanying burials. This revealed unlike the general consensus that Archaic peoples had a uniform egalitarian culture, social stratification and the possession of exotic goods was possible in such cultures.

The site in on private agricultural land and is not accessible to the public.
