Cave in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
The cave used to be a prohibition-era tavern during the 1920s. Early in 2014 the City of Murfreesboro, working with Middle Tennessee State University, found a number of prehistoric items, including bones. Work continues to remove modern-era materials and to locate and identify Native American artifacts.
Work on the cave by the City is in association with multiple local and state government agencies, MTSU, and the Native History Association. The site is closed to the public.
Note: Ancient Native American Cemetery Secured in Tennessee
