Ancient Town with artificial mounds in Wilson County, Tennessee.

This eleven acre site is a Mississippian Period town site along a bend of Spring Creek, a tributary of the Cumberland River. Dating to 1000 to 1300 CE, there is one substantial platform mound approximately 15 feet high and 6 smaller mounds, with a circular earthwork (once topped with a stockade wall) surrounding the immediate site.

The site is now owned by the state and designated as the Sellars Farm State Archaeological Area.

The site and a parking area with information placards are accessible in day light hours. A trail leads to the town site and mounds. The site is managed through the nearby Long Hunter State Park and by the Friends of the Sellars Site.

A National Register of Historic Places site.
