I have visited· I would like to visit

stonetracker visited In a late Oct 2023 visit I was unable to spot the henges at either the stated location or in the general vicinity, which is in a cultivated field on private property approximately 200-300 yds north of Goose Heaven Rd near the junction of N. Cambridge Rd. It has either eroded away to the point of no return or I was in a bad viewing spot. Update: Later, I did find a satellite view of the site from Google Maps that clearly shows both henges (see photos section). So it's likely that they are very low to the ground and can only be seen from above.

Henge in Wayne County, Indiana.
The site featured two henges and six additional works. The southern henge was 660 feet in circumference with a gateway that was aligned equinox sunrise.

Years of cultivation has nearly erased the northern henge that aligned to the summer solstice sunrise.
The south henge has withstood years of farming much better than the northern work and is still quite evident in a cultivated field. A cut was made between the two works that led to a small stream below. This artificial cut is also still visible at the site.

Re: Cambridge City Henge Complex (The Bertsch Sacred Circle Mound Complex of Cambridg by Anonymous on Tuesday, 29 December 2015
I participated on the Bertsch site dig in the summer of 1968. As a 10 year-old, I felt blessed to unearth the 2000 year-old crematorium in the center of the largest "sacred circle" mound. Over the next 50 years, I found the Adena-Hopewell village site that overlooks the mound complex. My wife and I own the village and hope to excavate and reconstruct the village and the mound complex, if we can convince the owners to let us purchase the property and place them back as they were shortly after Christ's birth. We would love to leave the village and mound reconstructions as a living state park for all future generations.

I plan to do this through the sale of my novels, and hopefully, the monies made if I am fortunate enough to have any of my tales made into movies. My one and only novel to date, "Where The Birds Go When It Rains," was self-published in 2008. The soulful, time-travel, love story is based on our 1968 dig, the 16-acre village we own, and explains my theory about the construction of the sacred circle complexes and the explosion of the Hopewell culture within the Adena culture. The carbon 14 results, the Hopewell Interaction Sphere, and my explanation of the tale recorded at these circle complexes by the Adena peoples (who became labeled as Hopewell due to the impetus that drove the witnesses to a religious/cultural awakening) support my theory. And if I can ever find the funds to carry out the excavation and reconstruction of the village and mound complex, I believe proof of my theory will be uncovered on that hilltop site.

In retrospect, I left so much out of my first publication that I need to go back for a re-write to fully explain the magnitude of the supporting data. However, if you are interested, copies of the first telling are available on-line... and I am always excited to share the evidence with anyone wishing to learn more. However, if you are a believer of some alien connection, you will be sadly disappointed with my rendition of why the complexes were built and what caused the cultural Renaissance of the Hopewell.

I was advised by a leading authority on "sacred circle" mounds to share my theory via my proposed novel because I do not hold a doctorate in archaeology and that it would be difficult to impossible to get acceptance by those established in the field. I wanted and had to tell my tale anyway: One of those life missions you know you have to do... and it is mine just as my fortune it was to be a 10 year-old on that dig... and to see what I had to see to see, to experience what I had to experience to even think of proposing the theory.

If you know of any Hollywood or local movie-makers interested in bringing a very unique tale to the big screen, I am excited to meet that soul... and to begin making that site excavation/preservation possible. An incredible discovery awaits us, or so I am sure based on the clues and the scientific data I have been given.

I may be reached at jamie@gooseheaventales.com However, again, if you are seeking an alien explanation connection or support of such a source, I won't have any to offer you, but I do have a most incredible possibility for you... shared somewhat in my novel.

Thank you.

hello. my name is BeLinda Gulley. I was looking for ley lines in my area and a picture of a home came up. it was my home! I live on the Henry-Fayette- Wayne co line in Bentonville and the pic of my home was featured in a pin. I am positive it is my home. we have lived in this home since 1996 and the paranormal activity is insane. I was wondering if I could get some info on the mounds? we have found arrowheads & spearheads in our fields & mounds have been rising up higher since we have moved here. my email belinda.gulley 1160@gmail.com. any info would be great. I am Cherokee so preserving these mounds means a lot to me. thank you so much
