Artificial Mound in White County, Georgia.
The site consists of two mounds, both are very roughly rectangular and are positioned very roughly at 45 deg off the cardinal directions.

The smaller of the two mounds (Mound B) is roughly 12 m square at the base and only about a meter high. The much larger mound (Mound A) is rectangular, 46 m - 50 m on its longer dimension, and varies from 6 m to 10 m high. Described by the only archaeologist to map and conduct a published survey of the site as "very unusual" and "strange."

Although these mounds had been noted while other archaeological projects in the area were on-going, there was considerable doubt that the Mound A was man made. Both Mounds have been created on a natural hill overlooking the Nacoochee Valley. The site survey conducted in 1999 indicates that the Mound A was formed by altering the highest portion of the natural hill by building rectangular sides, and possibly by removing the top of the natural hill. This is an unusual building technique for earthen mounds in North America.

A limited number of ceramic shards from the 1999 survey were used to place a date of 900 AD on the site (Late Woodland Napier). The only other artifact discovered was a small greenstone celt.

The site is on private property and is heavily wooded.
