Various unverified accounts have described this as an Adena culture mound surrounded by a ditch and "breastwork" (enclosure wall possibly with at least one opening).

There are no records that I can find of the mound ever being excavated by professional archaeologists. The mound is still extant and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Stackhouse Mound, but the more common name is Braddock Mound.

The location coordinates are approximate. The mound is on private property and tree-covered but various sources claim it can be seen at a significant distance from the road. Which road is unclear.
