Indian Mound Village Site
Indian Mound Village Site submitted by Baronfivetwo : Ground-level photograph of the mound located in Indian Mound Village, Seminole County, Florida (Vote or comment on this photo)
Artificial Mound in Seminole County, Florida

This is an artificial mound a few hundred feet from the bank of the St. John’s River in the village of Indian Mound, Seminole County Florida (I presume the village got the name for this mound). The mound is registered and protected by the state and has a sign identifying it as an “Indian Mound” and a warning that prohibits digging on or around the site or face prosecution. This site can be reached off of FL 415 just south of the St. John’s River Bridge between Sanford and Osteen.
