I am not interested in a photograph, but could someone please go with a compass and give me the degrees compass of this alignment of stones. I assume about 60/ 300 but maybe wrong.

    It looks like the coordinates are a bit off. They should be:
    52 50' 9.705"N, 8 19' 49.457"W

    An alternate name for this site is: Carrigeen
    Azimuth seems to be 51/231

    It is very close to the first gleam of the moonrise at northern Minor Lunar Standstill or in the other direction (231) full orb of the moon setting during southern Minor Lunar Standstill.

    I'll put it into the Archaeoastronomy Database:

    Maybe someday we can get a picture for the portal (in general) and even with a moon rise or set as a data point.
