attlebax visited on 28th Dec 2015 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 5 Cerro da Vila is sited in Vilamoura on the Algarve, just down the road from the main post office. It is mainly a Roman site but is probably resting on an earlier settlement. It is the subject of proper archaeological investigation and the whole site is being extended gradually. It is part of a museum which is open on nearly every day of the year, the cost of entry is 3 Euro for an adult. Discount for Seniors and students. The ruins are quite extensive and you can see mosaic floors, pools and walls. As it is still under a 'dig' the staff are on site all the time. Well worth the 3 Euro.
