Modern Stone Circle / Monolith in New England

A 30 ft. diameter low granite circle constructed in 1982 as a memorial in a garden area within Herter Park in Boston, MA, USA. The Charles River is nearby. It is oriented towards the summer solistice sunset. The area is maintained by the Charles River Conservancy. The architect is Adele Herter Seronde, who designed it as a memorial to her mother, who was active in public affairs and was a lover of nature. It is visible on Google Earth.
