Wheelhouse in North Uist
Remains of an Iron Age wheelhouse, excavated in 1919. Traces of the circular wall, radial piers and the main chamber with the furnace were discovered.
Among the finds there was an iron bone-handed knife, a bronze pin, socketed spearheds and 2 whalebone awls.
