Crois Chnoca Breaca
Crois Chnoca Breaca submitted by SumDoood : To the west. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Standing stone in South Uist, Scotland. The shape of the stone is reminiscent of a human figure, made from Lewisian gneiss and is leaning towards the North - it is not certain if this was its original orientation or if it has 'slipped'.

The supporting mound is showing signs of recent erosion, possibly from rabbits.

Crois Chnoca Breaca submitted by Smilemaker : Site in South Uist Scotland This image taken Feb 2014 shows better the shape of the stone, which is reminiscent of a human figure. Tee stone itself is local Lewisian gneiss and is leaning towards the North - it is not certain if this was its original orientation or if it has 'slipped'. The supporting mound is showing signs of recent erosion, possibly from rabbits. (Vote or comment on this photo)
