The Roman Dam was identified by Estácio da Veiga in 1877. It was investigated in 2006 / 2007. The Roman Dam of Álamo can only be seen from Rua de Alámo from the M507. It looks very bewildered.
The Roman Dam is pretty broad and from the photograph you can clearly see how the Dam is fortified at the sides.
It is on private property.
At the other side of the Roman Dam, you can see a large stone that is cut in a certain form. I show a picture of it as I presume it belongs to the Roman road or bridge.
Opposite of the Roman Dam is a working waterpoint - the water contains a lot of iron.
