Airidh na h-aon Oidche Chambered Cairn
Airidh na h-aon Oidche Chambered Cairn submitted by h_fenton : Possible chamber in the centre of Airidh na h-aon Oidche Chambered Cairn although changes have been made to it at a more later date. 13 May 2006 (Vote or comment on this photo)
Chambered Cairn in Isle of Benbecula. Sources (such as RCAHMS) suggest that this could be a chambered cairn, however like the nearby Stiaraval Chambered Cairn, it has been extensively messed about with in later periods with many sheilings built both on and around it.

There is what might be a chamber in the centre of the cairn but this has been used for other purposes with modifications at a later date. The cairn is about 20metres across. This cairn stands in a prominent position overlooking a landscape of small hills and small lochs.

When viewed from the nearby Stiaraval chambered cairn (490m roughly to the west) - Airidh na h-aon Oidche appears on the skyline, and on a clear day it sits between two distant hills over on the Isle of Skye 26 miles away.
