Chambered Cairn in Cornwall

Tean Great Hill Chambered Cairn is 6.5m diameter by 1.4m high, The chamber (without capstones) measures internally 3.4m long and 1.1m wide. The earth fill of the chamber is level with the top of the stones forming its walls, and though the capstones are absent, the chamber may still be an undisturbed example.
The mound is made of stone and earth, incorporating at least three natural rocks on its north east side. The intact kerb, surrounding the remainder of the perimeter, consisted of ten stones (including one on the south side, slightly displaced) averaging 1.0m long by 0.5m wide and 0.8m high. The chambers walling is exposed to a maximum depth of 0.1m was of single slabs, incorporating a possible natural rock at its northern corner. It is possible that undisturbed fill remains inside the chamber.

This monument is scheduled as part of Historic England List ID 1016178, "Prehistoric cairn group on Great Hill, Tean".
