Hillfort in Isle of Skye.
This nice iron age Stone Fort is set in the summit of a rocky eminence, commanding a nice view of the surrounding countryside.

It can be found on the right hand side of A855 north of Portree, some hundred meters before reaching the Torvaig road. Access was difficult as you have to cross some 200mts of very damp undergrowth (as of September) which will make your feet wet unless well prepared.

The site still features 4 meter thick ramparts and lines of boulders (probably with a similar fuctionality as a "chevaux de frise") in the only easy access slope.

All in all, the sights from Dun Gerashader are worth wet feet!
