Passage Grave in Castilla y León

This megalith is part of an interesting cluster of passage graves located in the Carpurias Hills to the North of the province of Zamora. It can be classified as a Passage Grave, dating from the fourth millennium BC, featuring an impressive oval chamber which can be reached through an access corridor oriented to the SE. Almost unnoticeable are the remains of the tumulus which is supposed to have covered the monument in the past.

The "Casetón de los Moros" is easily located. It is signposted on the road from Arrabalde to Alcubilla de Nogales. Just take the road and watch out for the sign which will be on your right hand side, some hundred meters outside Arrabalde. The megalith can then be reached by following a 200m earthen track.

Latitude and Longitude are approximate data obtained through Multimap.
