Cairn in Argyll

This now destroyed cist was found in the south west corner of a field to the south of Drumyeonbeg Farm and is recorded as Canmore ID 38525. A report in 1959 said "(found) during ploughing in 1953. On examination it proved to be made from four flagstones, to have no capstone and to contain no relics."

The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) also features a page for this cist - see their Druimyeonbeg, Isle of Gigha, Argyll, where they comment "An old tomb could once be seen where now we have yet another one of those environmentally damaging golf courses!"
