Madron Cross
Madron Cross submitted by Antonine : There is a second Grade II listed medieval cross head in the churchyard. It is thought to have been made to be placed on something, perhaps a priests grave, or on the church itself. (Vote or comment on this photo)

His holy well is nearby. The cemetery was originally a one acre circular enclosure. In the 1820s the stream from Madron Well was diverted when the cemetery was expanded to the north. Madron's story is slight according to Breverton; Welsh Saints

6th C saint (May 21st and 17th) His well at Madron told the number of years remaining in one's life and cured lunatics and sickly children. He may have been a disciple of Tudwal, who died with him in Brittany.
