Chambered Cairn of Clyde type situated high up in the forestry to the east of the Kilmartin Valley about a mile or so east of the rock art panels at Achnabreck. Detail looking WSW to the back of the lateral chamber.

Auchoish
Auchoish submitted by mickm : View looking SSW along the top of the cairn showing the outlook towards the Crinan Canal. The lateral chamber can be seen in the middle of the cairn. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Auchoish
Auchoish submitted by caradoc68 : Picture taken of the Neolithic burial chamber, this cairn is very unusual as the burial chamber comes in from the side of the cairn, not the front or back like most. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Auchoish
Auchoish submitted by mickm : View looking NNE to the facade. The gap between the facade & the cairn material is the result of Craw's excavation in 1931 which probably destroyed the terminal chamber that was here, although it may possibly survive beneath the backfill. What is probably the backslab is visible in the foreground. (Vote or comment on this photo)
