Hillfort in Andalucía
On the steep hill of Jimena de la Frontiera towers the old Moorish castle. It is build on the Roman remains of the city of Boa, 300AD.
The view is astoning and each part has information about its function and dating.
There are remains of a roman temple, moorish waterreservoirs and the roman temple.
Archeologist are still working on this project.
Jimena de la Frontiera has given shelter to neolithic people as there are two caves discovered with rockart in 'southern art style'. And from then it has been occupied by many poeple such as Greeks, Phoenicians ad Visigoths.
