This chambered cairn in Sutherland can be glimpsed from the roadside when approaching from the north on the A894. There is roadside parking on the verge and a newly well made wheelchair accessible path will get you close to the cairn. It stands on a rocky outcrop with impressive mountain views. Near the centre of the cairn the tops of four stones project above loose boulders and seem to outline the location of the chamber.

Canmore ID 4598. My visit was on 12/12/19.

Cnoc An Daimh
Cnoc An Daimh submitted by SumDoood : Clearly the cairn is built on top of a naturally occurring rock outcrop. Energy conservation has always been important. (Vote or comment on this photo)
