They were notable enough for me to take some pictures while camping in an adjacent farm, to give me a chance to investigate what they were.
Talking to Lansker-man last week, it seems likely that several of the numerous stones along this stretch of coast have been either positioned or used because of their positions, perhaps as markers for routes to significant sites inland. That helped me decide to post these images to invite comments or information from anyone who knows. Incidentally, the various official guides to the Coastal Path stress that the name Druidston comes from the name of a Norman Knight, not from anything older!
The larger stone seems unlikely to have been sited as a rubbing stone, as such a usage would not be helped by the cluster of small stones around its base. I have listed this location as ,not known, rather than definitively stating it to be a menhir - but I definitely think it has something special about it - apart of course from its magnificent location!
