hallsifer visited on 15th Jul 2022 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 3 Access: 4 A very easy to access site (and one that I'd consider hidden in plain sight - driven past many times and not realised the history of the area). Sight from top of one of the barrows is gorgeous and from there it is easy to spot the other two further along. Has an information board on the way in if coming from the town side that's weathered but has a lot of information about the area.

Barrowfields
Barrowfields submitted by Bladup : The mutated Eastern barrow looking West North West (Vote or comment on this photo)
Barrowfields is situated near the cliff tops right in the middle of Newquay town, near some large hotels, and not far from the one that burned down, with loss of life, in a major fire a couple of years ago.

The OS map (Ordnance Survey Sheet 200 Newquay and Bodmin) shows a line of three barrows near the cliff between Lusty Glaze beach and the main town beach. (I believe this is Towan Beach - if I remember correctly).

We lived in Newquay in the early 70s, and Barrowfields was just an area of grass with some humps in it, before a large hotel overlooking the sea. In those far-off days with small children to look after, I was not 'into' megalithic sites! More's the pity!

Below, the sepia photo is taken from a booklet of old photos of Old Newquay, picked up in a second-hand shop recently. Will update with publishing details later.
