Well of the Heads
Well of the Heads submitted by KiwiBetsy : Also known as Well of the Seven Heads, it is easy to find by the roadside on the A82 soon after Loch Oich becomes evident on your right (when heading north). A general store, called the Seven Heads Store is on your left. Immediately opposite is a curious needle like monument that bears a sculpture of a hand holding a large dagger and seven severed heads by their scalps. Steps and a path lea... Holy Well / Spring in Highland

This monument commemorates the foul Keppoch Murders of 1663. The Keppoch family were murdered by seven perpetrators who were in turn killed on the orders of Lord McDonnell and Aross and their heads were washed in this spring.
