The Lady Stone submitted by PaulM : The Lady Stone, near Fishguard, Pembrokeshire GR: SM99573762 This standing stone, said by some to resemble a cloaked woman, can be found in a field to the north of the A487 Cardigan to Fishguard Road just west of Dinas Cross. (Vote or comment on this photo)
This standing stone, said by some to resemble a cloaked woman, can be found in a field to the north of the A487 Cardigan to Fishguard Road just west of Dinas Cross. It is easy to find because it is situated just over a hedge in a field behind the Black Horse Inn and is just over 8 feet tall.

This ancient stone probably once marked an ancient trackway, but in more recent times one thinks it may have been a marker stone, alluding to a pre-historic alignment or leyline between one standing stone and others further away - indeed there is a burial chamber by the roadside close to Holme House 2 miles to the E.

The Lady Stone submitted by Horatio : A real nice standing stone but ruined by the close proximity of the iron railings (field boundary) and now because of this, the over growing gorse and bramble obscuring it. (Vote or comment on this photo)
