Of all the Bodmin holy Wells, Scarletts Well was the most renowned.

Met a family member from the property next door they stopped drinking it as a relative developed Ecoli,they boil all water 💧 now.

the stream is a good place to get fresh,clean watercress! don't know about the healing properties BUT tried it for my hair loss.No sucess!
Must admit that it does make a cup of tea taste better than tap water.
Of interest are the original granite 'sleepers' in the present stream bed they are from the original 1834 railway line.
