Cloven Stones submitted by mattchapman : Chambered tomb up for sale!!!! The Cloven stones in Baldrine , Isle of Man, in front garden of a bungalow that it is now for sale. (To go with news article submitted today) (Vote or comment on this photo)
Chambered Tomb in Isle of Man. A chance to buy a genuine chambered tomb! The Cloven stones, a chambered tomb on the Isle of Man, is situated in the garden of a bungalow in the village of Baldrine. This house is now up for sale and includes the stones which reside in the front garden.

This is a genuine tomb under heritage protection , lord knows how it survived the building of the house and village around it.

The stones consist of two large up rights and some smaller stones forming a forecourt to the tomb. The rest is under a mound that forms the front garden. The house itself is a small two bedroomed bungalow with decking to the rear and is on offer at £329,950. So if any one out there fancies their own megalithic monument please come and join the friendly folk (or as Alister Darling would have us, Bond Villans !) here on Monas Isle.

To see the full listing go to cowleygroves.com, search the Baldrine area and look for Clovenstones. I'll attempt to get some better pics soon.

Note: Chambered tomb up for sale in the IOM
