St Stephen's Well submitted by KiwiBetsy : When we visited the water level in the interior of the wellhouse was not high enough to flow over the low part in the front. The old collegiate church in Launceston was consecrated by Bishop Bronescombe in 1259 and dedicated to St Stephen. The current St Stephen’s Church stands about half a mile to the east of the well. St Stephen's Well
St Stephen's Well submitted by cazzyjane : St Stephen's Well, Launceston. Probably not the best time to visit or photo when its getting dark and pouring with rain, but this was still a nice, rather large well with lots of water flowing from it. This is in a peaceful location despite just being a few minutes walk away from St Stephens Hill with all its traffic noise. (1 comment - Vote or comment on this photo)
