Bodowyr passage grave, Ynys Mon (SH463683) is a Neolithic passage grave consisting of a capstone perched on three uprights originally entered by a short passage to the east.

Now fenced off in the middle of a field with easy access from the road.

Bodowyr submitted by enkidu41 : SH 462683 The remains of a simple passage grave. The mushroom-shaped capstone measures 7' x 6'. The low sill stone at the front of the uprights (the eastern end) marks the entrance to the short passage. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Bodowyr submitted by raythemapman : Bodowyrs capstone is a good example of the pyramid shaped capstone. A lot of tombs have this type of capstone, this makes me think that they were built by the same people in the same time period. A good example is Bodowyr and Mynyddcefn, they could be twins.

If you are visiting here during Summer 2006, beware of the bull! I was here yesterday; as I began to exit the field, a group of cows began running at me. Standing my ground and shrieking at the cows stopped them (as usual)... however up lumbered a well hung bull with horns, glistening nose, ring through it, snorting and grunting; by the time I reached the kissing gate, the cows, with bull at front completely obstructed the entrance. Beware!
