Situated in a defensive position that overlooks Llyn Nantlle this small hillfort location provides extensive views along Llyn Nantlle and of the Nantlle Valley surrounding countryside, particularly the central area and west.
Coflein has recorded the monument as: NPRN 95369 and describing it as a defended hilltop enclosure dating from the Iron Age.
The hillfort is roughly oval in shape with a 30m diameter at its widest. The dry stone walls are between 2 to 3m thick and raised to 0.5m. There is small rectangular structure within its centre measuring 5m long by 3m wide and 0.5m high. A narrow causeway allows access from the west.
The Nantlle Valley and surrounding mountains are particularly blessed with evidence of prehistoric activity.
