One and three quarter metre tall stone cross shaft standing on the village green opposite the bizarre Highwayman Inn. The granite stone has been identified as an early Christian, Saxon relic, and it has Os and Xs engraved onto two of its faces.

The cross was erected here in 1985 after having been found in a barn at East Linnacombe.

To quote Chris Burridge-Barney on Dartmoor 365 on Facebook:

"Sourton Green Cross (also known as the Oxo Cross, due to its inscriptions), a C10 or earlier cross erected on Sourton Green in 1985 after being discovered in two pieces at East Linnacombe farm."

Chris also posted a photo of a grass labyrinth in a field beside the church (may have been church grounds?)
