Ancient Cross in England

The cross is a waymarker on the track across Whitchurch Down to Tavistock.
This path would have been used by monks travelling from Buckfast Abbey and Plympton Priory to Tavistock Abbey.
Tavistock Abbey is a ruined Benedictine Abbey which was rebuilt after being destroyed by Danish raiders in 997.
The cross is 1.2 m high. The shaft has been replaced and is set in the original socket.
