Dyffryn Mymbyr (stone circle) submitted by Postman : Llyn Cwmfynnon, during constant precipitation the stone circle can get partially submerged , but after a dry spell it's really quite passable. (Vote or comment on this photo)
About five stones a standing and maybe three fallen with an earth fast boulder near the middle, some stones are pointy, some are thick and blocky one is thin and wide.

A good firend of mine found this site well hidden among the blue spots on Cofleins map page, two weeks ago we sought it out.

You can approach either from the south from Llamberis pass car park or from the east at Pen-y-Gwryd hotel. The south path passes by the lovely Llyn Cwmffynnon and is just over a half mile walk. From the east at just over three quaters of a mile is the path we took, following a waterfalling stream that is also the border between Gwynydd and Conwy.

The 1:25000 (but not the 1:50000) map has a small lake north of Llyn Cwmffynnon the stone circle is in this supposed lake. But on the ground its more of an excessively boggy ground rather than a lake. Wellies just about essential.

The views are tremendous, immediately north are the Glyders, far to the south south east is Moel Siabod , but most awesome is the craggy profile of Crib Goch to the south south west.

Best appreciated in very good weather!!!
