TheCaptain visited on 13th Sep 2023 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 3 Access: 2 Walking up from Penmaenmawr, once up on the plateau, the first site I see is the Red Farm stone circle. Its over a wall in a field containing horses, and there are lots of people out looking like they are on an organised shooting event, so I satisfy myself with the view over the wall. Looks like about 4 stones on a flattened platform, with a couple of other either outliers or moved stones laying around.

One of a complex of 4 stone circles on the headland of Penmaenmawr above Conway, Red Farm now consists of a surviving arc of four stones.

Red Farm
Red Farm submitted by TimPrevett : There are a couple features of interest in the field of the Red Farm circle that give something to consider as part of the bigger picture. Further down the field, to the right hand side, there is a large mound of stones. It is unclear as to what exactly this is - field clearance? There is a good circular bank of stones beneath the surface, so I'm not entirely convinced it is just field clearanc... (Vote or comment on this photo)

Red Farm
Red Farm submitted by TimPrevett : There are a couple features of interest in the field of the Red Farm circle that give something to consider as part of the bigger picture. There is a good number cairn-like protrusions from the ground. They are widespread, and perhaps indicate disturbed cairn material? Opinions and discussion welcomed. There are at least four of these protrusions visible in this picture.
