"Carreg Samson is located in the centre of a field north east of Llethr, on the crest of a spur of the moorland. The stone is of local grit and is 4ft high and 10ft in girth and is rectangular in cross-section. The name derives from a tradition that Saint Samson used the stone to play quoits."
